Dear Members and Friends of Urban Green=2C

I=E2=80=99m delighted to let you know that our board of directors has appo=
inted Chris Halfnight as the next CEO of Urban Green Council (https://urba=
ngreencouncil.us15.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3D263f02c366e4cdee15fa80a=
0e&id=3D2d7afa5376&e=3D7669d784a9) when I retire in the spring. Chri=
s is uniquely positioned to accelerate the incredible momentum that our co=
mmunity has built together.

When I joined Urban Green in 2018=2C my goal was to grow our scale and imp=
act. With your support=2C we=E2=80=99ve done just that. We tripled our aud=
ience=2C doubled our students=2C and grew revenues more than 50% =E2=80=94=
 all while helping to shape some of the most forward-leaning building deca=
rbonization laws in the world.

Every day=2C I=E2=80=99ve been inspired by the incredibly dedicated and ta=
lented staff at Urban Green who continue to change New York City and the w=
orld. We=E2=80=99re guided by the most experienced and supportive board th=
at has never wavered from our mission. And we=E2=80=99re backed by members=
 and friends like you that have always been ready to lend a hand=2C ear or=
 shoulder as we=E2=80=99ve made big strides together.

Chris will hit the ground running. He spent the past decade shaping Urban=
 Green=E2=80=99s policy impact=2C most recently as Senior Director of Rese=
arch and Policy. Prior to joining the organization in 2016=2C he was an at=
torney at Shearman & Sterling LLP and worked on energy policy at the Yale=
 Center for Environmental Law and Policy and the Natural Resources Defense=
 Council. He holds a B.A. and J.D. from McGill University and a Master=E2=
=80=99s in Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environmen=
t.

He=E2=80=99ll serve as Chief Operating Officer as we transition over the n=
ext six months and I have every confidence that he will lead Urban Green t=
o new levels of excellence!

It=E2=80=99s been an honor for me to lead this most amazing organization o=
ver these past seven years=2C and by far the most rewarding chapter of my=
 37-year career. I=E2=80=99ll wrap-up as CEO in the spring=2C and I=E2=80=
=99ll stay active as an advisor to Urban Green after that=2C so I look for=
ward to thanking you in person for all you have done to contribute to our=

&nbsp;all while helping to shape some of the most forward-leaning building=
 decarbonization laws in the world.&nbsp;<br>

Every day=2C I=E2=80=99ve been inspired by the incredibly dedicated and ta=
lented staff at Urban Green who continue to change New York City and the w=
orld. We=E2=80=99re guided by the most experienced and supportive board th=
at has never wavered from our mission. And we=E2=80=99re backed by members=
 and friends like you that have always been ready to lend a hand=2C ear or=
 shoulder as we=E2=80=99ve made big strides together.&nbsp;<br>

Chris will hit the ground running. He spent the past decade shaping Urban=
 Green=E2=80=99s policy impact=2C most recently as Senior Director of Rese=
arch and Policy. Prior to joining the organization in 2016=2C he was an at=
torney at Shearman &amp; Sterling LLP and worked on energy policy at the Y=
ale Center for Environmental Law and Policy and the Natural Resources Defe=
nse Council. He holds a B.A. and J.D. from McGill University and a Master=
=E2=80=99s in Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environ=
ment. &nbsp;<br>
&nbsp;<br>
He=E2=80=99ll serve as Chief Operating Officer as we transition over the n=
ext six months and I have every confidence that he will lead Urban Green t=
