We were away f= or the weekend, and came home today to total carnage in our backyard today. O= ur neighbors had sent us footage Saturday morning of at the Bears in the front= of our house. We lost 6 very large koi, their remains were all over the yard = as well as copious amounts of poop. We live on Westridge, near Jeffersonia on the westside of the street. If any of you have even been to see the salmon run, thats what our yard smelled and looked like. Fish bits every were. T= hey also ate pears we had growing on a tree and removed the screens to the craw= l space of our house, we think because as we discovered there was dead rat in= a trap. They probably smelled it. So be cautions and carful pond owners. W= e are very sad, the fish survived the January fires only to be consumed by bl= ack bears. Animal control has told us that if you see the bears you can call 9= 11 if you feel in danger other than that they gave us number for the Californi= a Wildlife Center which as we learned is not open on the weekend. Unfortunately we dont have any footage of them enjoying themselves but I wi= ll add some photos of what we came home to as soon as my phone and computer sy= nc.
