I am glad to see so many residents activated to urge GOV. Newsom to veto th=
is
horrendous and needless bill. We can build more efficiently on our major
streets that have public transit in front of the building. With retail on t=

bottom, we create jobs and additional tax base and reduce car trips as peop=

shop locally. All wins. No need to destroy residential areas. I was leaning=

support Katie Porter for GOV in 2026. She, at a recent debate, indicated (a=

I believe she was the only one) that SHE WOULD SIGN SB 79. She has lost my
vote, and she should lose yours.  Source LA Times-Porter talked about being=

single mom and a consumer advocate, saying she would attack powerful intere=

to help average people. She said she supports SB 79, a measure that would
allow high-rise apartment construction near transit stops to increase the
