It=E2=80=99s how I fi= rst met him =E2=80=94 driven, intense,= humble, and joyful in the simplest moments. 

Just Charlie. In his element. 

I remembered the ear= ly days of dating, us on a basketball court. No lights, no crowd, no noise = =E2=80=94 just the sound of sneakers on pavement.  

We bonded over how = Jordan was the GOAT, and he told me about his basketball days in high schoo= l and I told him about my basketball days in college.  

He wore a red br= acelet on his wrist that read: =E2=80=9CWork harder. Be better.=E2=80=9D=  

He never took it off. Until one day, a student came up t= o him after a speech and asked about it. Charlie slipped it off and gave it= to them. 

That was who he was. He saw greatness in others, even when they couldn=E2=80=99t yet see it in t= hemselves. 

That=E2=80=99s= what I see in this photo =E2=80=94 Gr= eatness. 

To me,= this is Charlie=E2=80=99s =E2=80=9CJordan=E2=80=9D photo.   
Because this was his prime...=  

Because this was Charlie at= the height of everything he lived for =E2=80=94 his purpose, his calling, = his mission... 

He trained his whole life for this exact moment, t= he moment he=E2=80=99d be called home. 

He gave it everything. Mind. Bod= y. Soul.  

And now, this image is permanently etched in time, held in my= heart, as I admire his greatness. For= ever.   

Friend, I want you to know =E2=80=94 his mission didn= =E2=80=99t end. It won=E2=80=99t ever stop... 
 
Because it=E2=80=99s alive in me. It=E2=80=99s alive = in our children. It=E2=80=99s alive in the millions he=E2=80=99s inspired.&= nbsp;

Friend, Charlie=E2= =80=99s life =E2=80=94 it was so much bigger than politics... 

It was ab= out a man laying down his life, every single day, for something eternal.&nb= sp;

Charlie, I miss you.
