Over recent weeks, the S= imon Wiesenthal Center hosted screenings in LA and the Bay Area of = One Day in October=E2=80=94the first dramatized a= ccount of the attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, presented by F= OX Entertainment Studios in association with Moriah Media, the storytelling= arm of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. The screenings included in-depth discu= ssions with Sabine Taasa, a 10/7 survivor whose story is highlighted in one= of the series' episodes, and Fernando Szew, SWC trustee and the President = and Head of FOX Entertainment Studios. In the months ahead, we will be partnering wi= th Students Supporting Israel (SSI) to bring One Day in October sc= reenings and discussions to UCLA, University of Arizona, Arizona State, and= many more universities across the U.S. At a time when anti-Jewish rhetoric= is spreading unchecked on college campuses, these programs will inform stu= dents about the events of October 7 and the realities of anti-Zionism and a= ntisemitism.

715 days ago, on October= 7, 2023, Rom Braslavski was abducted by Hamas terrorists while working sec= urity at the Nova music festival in Israel. Last month, we held a press conference with Rom=E2=80= =99s aunt and grandmother to publicly call on the International Committ= ee of the Red Cross to adhere to its founding mission of providing care and= aid to victims of conflict=E2=80=94victims like Rom and the other hostages= who remain in captivity. We are honored to have hosted Rom's family and wi= ll continue calling for justice, accountability, and the release of the rem= aining hostages.

Our Mobile Museum of Tolerance (MMOT) is bringing thought-provok= ing workshops to students across California.

Since launching last fall,= our California MMOT has reached more than 7,100 students in over 40 school= districts across the state with workshops exploring the Holocaust, the Civ= il Rights Movement, and media literacy. The CA MMOT is fully booked for thi= s school year and is expected to reach more than 10,000 students and adults= at schools, community centers, and festivals in the months ahead. With new= evaluation measures in place, we=E2=80=99re seeing what=E2=80=99s resonati= ng most with students, encouraging their curiosity, and helping them link h= istory to their own experiences.
