This weekend, many street lamps south of Pico, East of Overland have been
vandalized. The cement ground covers of the electrical supply box are remov=
ed,
wires are cut, the cut wires are placed outside the covers and the covers n=
ot
replaced. There were numerous street lamps vandalized on Cushdon, Esther an=
d
Putney and the street lamps were out last night for several blocks. It has
been reported to the City and they responded that this was either an act of
vandalism to try to sell the wire or an act where the criminals would try t=
o
return under the cover of darkness and steal from cars. At any rate, if you=
're
near one of the vandalized street lamps and have video surveillance, please
post the videos. A representative from the City said that these types of
vandalism have been gaining in recent weeks and we need to spread the word.
