I=E2=80=99ve written to District 11=E2=80=99s Councilman, Traci Park,  to c=
omplain about the
condition of our sidewalks and roads.  San Vicente, where so many restauran=
ts
operate,  have sidewalks that are stained from food, general foot traffic a=
nd
dogs. And are often littered with discarded paper and garbage. Because ther=
e
aren=E2=80=99t enough trash containers available,  and those that are aroun=
d, remain
overflowing with uncollected items. It=E2=80=99s a sorry situation in what=
=E2=80=99s
considered to be an upscale neighborhood.  It actually feels Third World.  =
The
question is , what is the schedule for street cleaning? And what  about str=
eet
washing,  that is really needed,  including power washing on a regular basi=
s.
Are the shopkeepers expected to keep the sidewalks in front of their
businesses washed, and  are they expected to take in the trash that=E2=80=
=99s in the
overflowing containers? What is the protocol?  Clearly, it=E2=80=99s not wo=
rking.  So
It feels disgusting to walk the streets these days. That also goes for the
furniture around business establishments that are unwashed and covered in f=
ood
stains. How did we get here? And how do we improve the mess? So that it fee=

like we live in a beautiful clean area again .
