=F0=9F=94=A5 OPPOSE the DANGEROUS BURBANK = RENTAL REGISTRY

The Burbank City Council is steamrolling ahead with a rental registry designed to track, target, and punish housing pro= viders. This is not about data =E2=80=94= it=E2=80=99s about giving bureaucrats full control over your pro= perty and locking in crippling rent control, inc= luding a 4% annual cap.

This entire agen= da is being driven by the radical Burbank Tenants Union,<= /strong> whose members are completely clueless a= bout the long-term destruction they=E2=80=99re causing =E2=80=94 = not just for landlords, but for every renter in the city.= Reduced investment, deteriorating properties, and fewer= available units =E2=80=94 this is the future they=E2=80=99= re creating.

And let=E2=80=99s be clear =E2=80=94= this City Council is not listening. The funding for the registry= was sneaked into the City Budget on page 504, b= uried deep in the documents, as if housing providers woul= dn=E2=80=99t notice. This is backroom politics at its wo= rst. They pretend to be neutral, with Vice Mayor= Takahashi parroting lines like =E2=80=9CI haven=E2=80=99t decide= d yet=E2=80=9D and =E2=80=9CI need more data,=E2=80=9D but it=E2=80= =99s all an act. The decision has already been m= ade =E2=80=94 they just think you won=E2=80=99t fight bac= k.

They want to copy failed policies from cities like Santa Monica and Berkeley, instead of resp= ecting the people of Burbank who overwhelmingly rejected = rent control. It=E2=80=99s an insult to every responsibl= e housing provider and every voter who trusted this council to ac= t in good faith.
