** When Should My Child Start Music Lessons?
------------------------------------------------------------

For one-on-one lessons=2C Angeles Academy recommends the following ages on=
 average to start:

Piano=2C Voice=2C Drums - 4 and up

Violin and Cello - 5 and up

Guitar=2C Ukulele=2C Bass - 6 and up

Exceptions are rare but certainly possible. There are some children=2C age=
 3=2C who are ready to start piano or voice. For these younger ages=2C it=
=E2=80=99s important that the parents are involved=2C the instructor has e=
xperience with this age group=2C and the child has the correct temperament=
 for learning an instrument.


** I=E2=80=99m an Adult Student=2C How Long Will It Take Me to Learn to Pl=
ay a Piece?
------------------------------------------------------------

This is a difficult question to answer=2C as it depends greatly on how muc=
h time the student practices=2C the natural ability of the student=2C and=
 the difficulty level of the piece selected. On average=2C we like to see=
 our adult music students able to play a simple piece like "Ode to Joy" wi=
thin the first couple of months.


** Do You Offer Group Lessons?
------------------------------------------------------------

We do have some limited group ensembles that perform during our concert se=
ason=2C but the vast majority of our teaching is one-on-one. We believe on=
e-on-one is the best way to learn an instrument since the instructor can a=
djust to fit the student's progress and ensure information is presented at=
 the appropriate pace for the individual.


** Do You Offer In-Home? Where Are Your Locations?
------------------------------------------------------------

We do not offer in-home lessons anymore. After years of experience=2C we f=
ound that most students don=E2=80=99t progress as well with lessons in the=
ir home=2C and that the best music instructors primarily teach from facili=
ties=2C where they can work with 10-15 students a day. We have three beaut=
iful locations in Westwood=2C Brentwood=2C and Tarzana!
