Starting May 7, 2025, travelers flying within the U.S. will be required to present a REAL ID compliant driver's license to board domestic flights. If your ID is not REAL ID compliant, you must use an alternative form of identification, such as a valid passport or military ID.

To avoid travel disruptions, check your current ID for the REAL ID star, typically located at the top of the card. You can find out if you're REAL ID ready by using Homeland Security's interactive tool here.
