Tax Filing Extension for Businesses Affected By Wildfires
---------------------------------------------------------

To provide immediate relief to businesses impacted by the catastrophic fire=
s within the City beginning January 7, 2025, all business locations within =
zip codes 90402, 90272 and 90049 will be automatically granted an extension=
 of the business tax renewal deadline to *April 14, 2025*.

In addition, any taxpayer with a business located outside of these zip code=
s, but whose business was interrupted as a direct result of the fires, may =
be granted an extension as well, provided that a written request, including=
 reasonable proof of the interruption, is sent to the Office of Finance bef=
ore the February 28, 2025 renewal deadline. To submit a written request, cl=
