Help us Defend the IRA


USGBC is mounting= a vigorous defense of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)'s energy efficien= cy and clean energy tax breaks for the building sector=2C which are at ris= k due to the election results. Now=2C more than ever=2C we need strength i= n numbers to ensure Congress understands that repealing the IRA would sign= ificantly disrupt growth in our sectors and likely lead to job losses in t= he building trades.


<= p style=3D"line-height: 125%;">Here's how y= ou can get involved:

  1. E= mail Congress: Access our easy one-click tool to email your members of Congress urging them to protect= buildings-related tax breaks. =C2=A0

  2. Sign-on letter: USGBC developed a building industry sign-= on letter that we hope many member companies will join. Sign on by January 8.

  3. Meetings with Congressional staff: If you wou= ld like to get more engaged and join a phone call or meeting with legislat= ive staffers for your members of Congress=2C contact us at publicpolicies@= usgbc.org. This is an important step if you have a Republican representati= ve or senator who might support these incentives.
