Or it could be hugging my= kids by a quiet mountain stream tumbling its way out of the San Gabriels.= If I look deeply enough=2C each day has its own bit of magic=E2=80=A6of j= oy and warmth=2C but also of sadness and loss that make up the balance of= this unique experience we call life. For this all=2C I am grateful. And you should know this includes time with all of you=2C the beautiful=2C= mission-driven members of this fantastic green building community that I= somehow get the privilege of leading. If I haven=E2=80=99t said it lately= =2C thank you. Yes=2C sometimes I spend a lot of time just filling out for= ms=2C doing budgets=2C or the other fun work that someone has to do to man= age people and projects=2C but really=2C what a monumental blessing. How f= ortunate am I to be doing work that matters to me=2C and to have the oppor= tunity to be creative in finding ways to create a sustainable impact on pr= ojects=2C programs=2C or people? Once you have a taste of what doing this= work is like=2C it is really hard to consider working simply for a payche= ck. Ultimately though=2C it is not just about the work=2C it is about who= you do it with. When I close my eyes and breathe=2C I see a thousand smil= es=2C I hear a thousand ideas and affirmations=2C and yes=2C I even feel a= thousand or so =E2=80=9Cthumbs up=E2=80=99=E2=80=99 in whatever video con= ferencing platform you=E2=80=99re using right now.
