The USGBC-LA Green Building Corps (GBC) is a structured internship program that provides participants wit= h valuable experience=2C relationships=2C and opportunities to contribute= to green building projects with the goal to make the greater Los Angeles= region healthier=2C more affordable=2C and sustainable for all.

Join the GBC and:

  • Be matched with a mentor= from our Mentor Network (either in-person or virtually) to focus further= on their individualized career development

  • Be provided with FREE USG= BC-LA memberships and access to all our training sessions=2C recorded cont= ent=2C and events at no cost whenever possible

  • Receive a certificate of= completion upon the successful conclusion of the program

The= Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is the natio= n=E2=80=99s largest municipal utility=2C with 8=2C019 megawatts (MW) of el= ectric capacity and serving an average of 435 million gallons of water per= day to the 4 million residents of the City of Los Angeles=2C its business= es and visitors. For more than 100 years=2C LADWP has provided the city wi= th reliable water and power service in a cost-effective and environmentall= y responsible manner.

Sustainability initiatives include the Comprehensive Affordable Multifamil= y Retrofits (CAMR) program=2C a new $75 million program that will help low= -income tenants and building owners save money on energy bills=2C create g= reen jobs=2C and deliver on key sustainability objectives. The program was= approved in 2021 by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP)= Board of Commissioners.
