The Electrical= Training Institute NZP in Commerce was the nation=E2=80=99s largest net z= ero plus commercial retrofit when it was completed=2C and it also achieved= LEED Silver in 2017! Developed in partnership between the International B= rotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 11 and the Los Angeles National Ele= ctrical Contractors Association=2C this green building acts as an educatio= nal facility serving 1=2C500 aspiring electrical professionals annually an= d as a living laboratory for new energy technologies and resilience.

Some sustainability achievements for the project are:

- 48% improvement on baseline building performance
- 95% existing building structure and envelope reuse
- 50% reduction in potable landscape water use

This building generates more energy than it consumes from an on-site solar= array!
