Mayor Eric Garcetti and City Attorney Mike Feuer have assembled a coalit= ion of law firms, bar associations and attorneys who will enhance their exi= sting pro bono commitments to legal aid organizations to provide COVID-19-r= elated legal services, including helping vulnerable tenants, domestic viole= nce victims and low income individuals with employment, consumer debt, and = bankruptcy matters.

Additionally,= they have partnered with Bet Tzedek Legal Services to build a new sup= port system for small businesses devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many = LA Represents pro bono attorneys will provide assistance to small businesse= s least likely to have access to effective legal services as they confront = new workplace regulations, renegotiate commercial leases, apply for governm= ent relief programs, and navigate compliance with emergency health and safe= ty orders. COVID-19 Business Comp= laint Portal
 
The City is working to ensure compliance with the City= 's Safer at Home Order. Violations of businesses to requirements for operat= ion as set forth in the order can now be reported using the complaint portal. The City Attorney's= office will review all reported potential violations. Other City personnel= will educate businesses in violation of the requirements. Repeat viol= ators will be subject to progressive enforcement penalties which range from= citations to fines to water and power shut off. 
 
The complaint portal can also be used to file complaints re= garding the misuse of parks or public spaces, violations by skilled nursing= facilities, construction sites or landlords.
