On September 9th, the California=E2=80=99s Office of the Sm= all Business Advocate (CalOSBA), part of the Governor=E2=80=99s Offic= e of Business Economic Development (GO-Biz), announced the launch of calosba.ca.gov= - a website that connects California=E2=80=99s small business community wi= th critical state and federal resources. 
 
Small business owners, entrepreneurs, and startups can acce= ss many resources like: 
  • Small business technical assistance centers located through= out California that offer specialized support for = no-cost or at a low-cost
  • Financing information including state and federal capital p= rograms and tax/credit incentive programs 
  • Business Learning Center that helps business owners navigat= e the varying stages of the business development process 
  • Permits, licenses, and regulations
  • Access to new markets, including e-commerce, international = trade, and procurement and supply chain programs

COVID-19 Business Comp= laint Portal
 
The City is working to ensure compliance with the City= 's Safer at Home Order. Violations of businesses to requirements for operat= ion as set forth in the order can now be reported using the complaint portal. The City Attorney's offic= e will review all reported potential violations. Other City personnel will = educate businesses in violation of the requirements. Repeat violators = will be subject to progressive enforcement penalties which range from citat= ions to fines to water and power shut off. 
 
The complaint portal can also be used to file complaints re= garding the misuse of parks or public spaces, violations by skilled nursing= facilities, construction sites or landlords.
