- Hands-On Kits -

Our Green Schools Program now provides fun and interactive hands-on kits=
=2C that demonstrate experiential learning following our sustainability fu=
ndamentals workshop.

The project kits are designed as student-centered tasks. Students are enco=
uraged to use their creativity and newfound knowledge from the workshops t=
o reimagine ecosystems=2C create art with upcycled materials=2C and plan u=

Terrarium Ecosystems

Terrarium ecosystem is an interactive project that teaches students how li=
fe exists and what is essential for building a fully functioning ecosystem=
=2E

Middle School:

Creating with Waste - Upcycling

Creating a usable product from waste or unwanted items can turn trash into=
 treasure! This project will teach students the importance of reducing was=
te and increasing the useful life of existing resources.

High School:

Sustainable Improvements

Students begin applying skills and knowledge they have learned through the=
 curriculum to become =E2=80=9Ccity planners=E2=80=9D and upgrade a =E2=80=
=9Ccity=E2=80=9D by applying sustainable design practices to creating the=
 city layout=2C building plans=2C and a 3D city model using various upcycl=
ed materials.

=E2=80=9CWe scheduled our workshop for the last week of school for the 8th=
 Graders! So=2C being ready for graduation=2C this was a great end-of-the-=
year workshop to send them off with. Awesome reminder on how we can be mor=
e sustainable for our earth and learn how to repurpose materials. They had=
 a blast creating with repurposed materials and building terrariums. Thank=
