VSI=E2=80=99s Workforce Development Tea= m was out in the field once again!

VSI=E2=80=99s Workforce Development team recently met with s= tudents, instructors and distribution partners =E2=80=93 in-person =E2=80= =93 at the Washington County Career & Technical Education Center (WCCTE= C) in Abingdon, VA and in Gaffney, SC.

In Abingdon, the team presented VSI=E2=80=99s Basics of Viny= l Siding Installation and Specialty Tools of the Trade to 27 local high sch= ool students navigating the VSI=E2=80=99s NEW Pathway to Success Program. T= he students took their lessons learned to the lab and applied their newly a= cquired set of basic skills hanging vinyl siding on two =E2=80=9CTiny House= s.=E2=80=9D

In Gaffney, the team met with nearly 60 contractors and dist= ributors, educating them on similar curriculum.

In May, the VSI welcomed 60 NEW Installer Trainees and 42 NEW Certified Installers as par= t of our efforts to ensure that vinyl siding on today=E2=80=99s homes and b= uildings looks great and performs well for years to come. Certifications ar= e an inexpensive way to show proof that an industry professional is keeping= their expertise current and up to date.
