In this business, I have met a lot of people who seem to cruise all the time. They're barely off the ship when they call to book their next departure, or better yet, book them two or three at a time.

They've sworn off land-based trips and pledged allegiance to the sea. They've done the seven-day Caribbean, Alaska, maybe the Mediterranean, and are hungry for something new and different ... a truly grand voyage.

Cruise addicts, I feel your pain. For you, we created an exclusive list of the world's most tempting grand voyages. These are longer sailings that visit more than one region or continent, and we scour the itineraries of every cruise line as they are released, looking for unique and irresistible possibilities. The most coveted of all grand voyages are the world cruises. Most depart in the month of January. Currently there are 15 ships from 12 lines committed to 41 world cruise options between now and April 2024.

The upcoming world cruises are 92 to 274 nights long.

Among these options, the least expensive ones start at under $9,000 per person. (Click here for a list of all world cruises and world cruise segments.) For those who still are reading, it's better to look at the per-day price and take into account all that is included.

The best deals for world cruises are always available well in advance and come in the form of early booking discounts, past-passenger discounts and additional discounts that apply only to the customers of the largest sellers of cruises, like Vacations To Go.

If you're not in a position to spend months at sea circumnavigating the globe, you may want to consider some of our other "grand voyage" options.

For example, several ships in the Mediterranean offer enticing back-to-back (or back-to-back-to-back) itineraries that make it possible to sail for 12 to 35 nights with little or no port overlap. We began our vacation on warm, pink-sand beaches in Bermuda and ended by climbing an ice wall on a glacier in Iceland. Only on a cruise could such an adventure be so easy.
