Students in grad= =65s seven through twelve took to the stage on April 22 and 23 for the Spri= =6Eg Dance Festival. To celebrate dance and the human spirit, Disconnect= =2FReconnect showcased student and faculty choreography, informed by pe= =72sonal journeys, aspirations, world events, and social justice issues. Th= =69s show demonstrated the reconnection and the disconnection felt all arou= =6Ed the world due to the pandemic.

Boys Tennis: Senior Cooper = =4B. competed in the Ojai Boys Tennis Tournament from April 21-24. The Ojai= =20tournament is a CIF-selected tournament with limited space voted by the = =43IF Commissioner based on individual rankings. Cooper entered the tournam= =65nt 39-0. The Varsity Boys Tennis team is 14-0 overall and looks to clinc= =68 the League Title on April 26 with a 10-0 record. Buckley celebrated its= =20four seniors Cooper K., Owen W., Tye S., and Ryan Y. on Tuesday, April 2= =36 at Balboa Tennis Center.

Their first competition was in Port Hue= =6Eeme in Oxnard. The team traveled to Orange County for another competitio= =6E where they made it to the quarter finals and finished 13 out of 42 team= =73. Most recently, the team traveled to Fresno for their competition where= =20they placed 21 out of 42 teams.

    It's hard to believe,= =20but we're already almost halfway through the fourth and final session of= =20our Beyond the Bell afterschool programs. This session, we offered over = =340 programs, ranging from robots to chess, hip hop to hoops, and woodwork= =69ng to ceramics.     After two years of a modified Cultural = =41nthropology Unit, our sixth grade anthropologists are happy to once agai= =6E share their learning with an in-person audience. On Thursday, May 26, s= =74udents will welcome guests to the Disney Family Pavilion from 9:00-11:00= =20a.m. to showcase what they have learned about one of 15 cultural aspects= =20throughout the course of this year’s 11-week unit. Our young schol= =61rs will have conducted weeks of research, collaborated on a shared docum= =65nt, memorized speeches, and created presentation tools to investigate an= =64 celebrate how culture is experienced in three representative countries = =66rom one of 11 global regions.
