The More You Know

Going Beyond What the Eye Can See<= /span>

= Polymeric cladding, which includes vinyl siding, polypropylene siding and i= nsulated vinyl siding is typically installed over wood sheathing such as or= iented strand board (OSB) or plywood but can be installed with other types = of sheathing. Since the demand for OSB and plywood has increased, contracto= rs have begun using non-wood-based sheathings when installing polymeric cla= dding.

The VSI=E2=80=99s newest technical report provides clear, code-based i= nformation on the proper installation of polymeric cladding with most types= of sheathing to ensure product performance.

Vented claddings, like vinyl siding and = polypropylene siding allow air circulation between the water-resistive barr= ier/structural sheathing and the exterior shell. Vinyl siding and polypropy= lene siding act as vented cladding because they do not hold water against t= he building. The naturally occurring air gap under the material allows vent= ing to dry the wall to the exterior. Reservoir (absorptive) claddings like = fiber cement do not breathe (see absorptive claddings) and hold moisture ag= ainst the building.

The Lock Out Is Over - FI= NALLY!

After a long series of deadlines, threats and delays, a tent= ative agreement was reached, and a full season should begin on April 7.

What do we know=E2=80=A6t= he rules, they are changing=E2=80=A6?

Banning of the shift, pitch clock and larger bases are just = a few things that we have heard about.

Regardless of whether we all agree on the potential rule cha= nges, one thing that I think we can all agree to is that we all want the 20= 22 baseball season to get started.

Let=E2=80=99s all think good thoughts!
